I was sitting at work trying to think of how to begin my blog. Then, it hit me. Dreams. We all have them, or had them. This is for the people who have not seen their dreams in a while. I was once taught to mentally visualize where you see yourself or where you would like to be in the future. Not just an idea or a concept, but to literally see YOURSELF in that role, in that place, doing that thing or achieving that goal.
I have several dreams. Sometimes it is hard to keep them all in order or make an effort on each. Some different ways to make sure you are achieving your dreams/goals is to have them in front you, in some form or fashion, on a daily basis. Having the following is a good way to start...
- Journals
- Dream Boards
- Sticky Notes
- Mobile Reminders
- Screen Savers(Computer or Mobile)
- Support Groups
- Et Cetera...Et Cetera
You get my drift. You were given a dream so you can DO IT!
My Motto: EXCUSES ARE TOOLS OF THE INCOMPETENT WHICH CREATE MONUMENTS OF NOTHINGNESS! THOSE WHO SPECIALIZE IN THEM ARE SELDOM GOOD IN ANYTHING!
What is stopping you from starting right now? A few of my hangups were fear, waiting for perfection, having the idea that I wasn't good enough, doubt or just giving up. I have come to realize that none of those things are moving me into the direction I need to go. If I continue to let these hinderances block my success, then what is my purpose? God created you with a dream in your heart and you are to follow that dream with all of your heart. IF you are reading this and you are not spiritual, then do not waste your life wishing you could or hoping that one day you might. Each day passes us by and the only thing holding us back from our desired and amazing future is US! If I accept the idea that NOTHING will change, then NOTHING will change. You have to take a step.
I am taking a step towards my dreams my creating this blog. I want to uplift and encourage. I want to show people that YOU CAN BE THE MASTER OF YOUR FATE AND THE CAPTAIN OF YOUR SOUL. Helping people to understand their worth and that YOU can create YOUR OWN happiness.
So I ask you again, Have you seen your Dreams Lately? If not, then I want you to dream again. Pull out a piece of paper and a pen and DREAM again. Then, I want you to think of something small that you can start with. Success, personal self growth, reaching your dream/goals takes one day and one step at a time. Have patience and don't be so hard on yourselves. You will see movement if YOU move.
